“This is Medic 1015 requesting medical command stat, University of Kentucky do you copy?”
Outstanding vignette. Informative and fun to read.
Great simplification of the toxicology and treatment. Great stuff.
Thanks!
Great case. Thank you Doc.
Would I be stupid for thinking about pushing Mag here too in the undifferentiated patient?
Absolutely not stupid, but I don't think it would be one of my first go-tos. There's pretty decent evidence that mag can help with refractory Vtach/Fib, but I don't think, personally, that I'd reach for it right away. This article seemed to hit some pretty good points on Mag with cardiac dysrhythmias: https://www.ajconline.org/article/0002-9149(90)91280-J/abstract#:~:text=Magnesium%20treatment%20is%20a%20viable,atrial%20fibrillation%20and%20supraventricular%20tachycardia.
Thanks friend, I'll check it out!
